Castaway Media, Ireland’s first and fastest growing podcast network, has today announced the launch of two new shows, available to listeners via the Castaway podcast network.
‘Emma is the New Black’ and ‘The Outerview‘ will debut on Castaway on Wednesday November 11th and will feature exclusive content developed by the shows presenters, award-winning fashion blogger, Emma Carty and acclaimed radio producer Alan Swan, respectively. The new podcasts will join a stellar schedule that includes‘738AM Podcast’, ‘Retro Asylum’, ‘Not Now, Cato’, ‘Bookish’ and ‘Pod-a-Rooney’ hosted by actor and comedian Joe Rooney.
Emma is the New Black takes a Desert Island Discs approach to a guest’s personal style. Host and fashion lover Emma Carty will chat to people whose style she admires as they discuss fashion disasters, first buys, shopping memories and the highs and lows of being a slave to fashion.
Emma Carty is a graphic designer and former Art Director at fashion bible Irish Tatler. Her love and enthusiasm for all things fashion related shines through in her conversations with guests from the world of fashion. “Emma is the New Black” is a bi-monthly podcast and will air every second Wednesday. Renowned stylist Annmarie O’Connor will be Emma’s first guest with forthcoming episodes featuring designers Emma Manley and Heidi Higgins, and fashion editor James Butler amongst others.
The Outerview is a series of conversations dissecting the art of interviewing hosted by Alan Swan. Alan talks with writers, producers and broadcasters and discovers their techniques, influences and whether the art of interviewing is dying trade. The show launches with an in-depth conversation with legendary broadcaster Dave Fanning.
